MENSWEAR PROJECT
My first menswear project was this. For this project we had free hands. All though we had to manufacture two types of menswear products, to learn how menswear if different from womens.
Christmas 2017 I received a book by a danish war photographer, Jan Grarup. This book showed pictures from his travels, to war zones all around the world. For this project I was inspired by his photos from the genocide in Rwanda, back in 1994. This in a combo with research on PTSD as a trauma from war experiences and the workwear style in the 1940's. From this inspiration, came my collection for a menswear project.
I later on met up with Jan Grarup and showed him my project. He got so exited i gave him a book showing my collection and work. Afterward he posted a video of the project on his instagram (@Jangrarup).
